Born in Ceylon to a family that boasts a long line of artists, the passion and talent for creativity was ingrained in to Dammika’s DNA. As a child he grew up around a variety of traditional Sri Lankan art styles and was inspired by the untouched beauty of mother nature. As the years passed, life directed him down an alternative route, however his flame for creation never dimmed. One’s pure hunger and love for a subject can do wonders. 40 odd years after its inception, Dammika’s love for art finally prevailed and DammSing was born.

 

DammSing is an experimental abstract artist with a constantly evolving style of art. He regularly utilises acrylic paint and alcohol ink to produce, vibrant and distinctive pieces of abstract art. As the years passes, DammSing and his art will continue to evolve. The only constant will be his encapsulation of nature, which he marvelled at as child growing up in a paradise island.
